Spreadsheet with a list of tasks / activities / challenges that calculates totals automatically so teacher and students can see progress. To avoid cheating I got students (and parents!) to submit photo/video/etc evidence of challenges before editing numbers myself and regularly uploading spreadsheet for students and parents to see progress. Prizes were given at the end of the home learning period for most engaged students.
